Why Asia Link Exchange?

It is an easy way for sites, blogs, and commercial sites in English about Asia to promote traffic to their sites. Its free! Its easy! ALE is a banner exchange. Why not do one for one exchange instead of 80% you say you do?

Because we use a certain number of generated impressions as promotional giveaway to support the growth of ALE and for creating revenue opportunities for member sites. For instance, when a new member signs up, they get 1000 impressions free once they start showing ads. When they recruit another site, they get another 1000 free impressions. In the beginning, most of the 20% will be given back to participating members. Currently ShanghaiExpat is giving away most of its generated impressions to new members as a bonus.

What's this about revenue for member sites?

Currently we envision two phases in regards to this question. Phase I, member sites do not receive revenue for showing ads, but they receive revenue for selling ads. Many smaller sites, may not have enough traffic to catch the attention of advertisers. Joining ALE gives them a powerful product to get their clients advertising on a regional network of sites. This is a great selling point.

While we have not worked out the details yet, you will see something on this site with details of this plan within 90 days ( by the end of 2008). Phase II will entail a developing a system of revenue sharing for site members. This is in the works. First we have to get the number of members participating and the amount of impressions up to a point where it is an attractive deal for advertisers.

Why don't I just do Google Ads and make money rather than this?

Being an ALE member does not stop you from showing Google ads ( or any other kind of advertising). It even enhances the advertising you already have on your by bringing more fresh users to click on your ads.

I have business and we don't put banners on our company site. Can I still show my ads?

Of course you can. You just have to buy one of the packages of impressions and your ads will be shown across the ALE network. We reserve the right to moderate and approve ads. We will not take advertising for porn, illegal activity or any activity that would get us blocked in certain localities.
